OVERVIEW
SKANDINAVISK is a fictional Scandinavian Interiors eCatalogue inspired by brands like IKEA, Pottery Barn, and Restoration Hardware. SKANDINAVISK is an indirect parody of IKEA but uses Norwegian instead of Swedish (each product name is a direct translation of what the object is). The project simulates an interactive eCatalogue experience through buttons and rollovers.
AUDIENCE
SKANDINAVISK targets homeowners aged 35+. These individuals have likely reached a stage where external debts are largely settled, allowing for the availability of discretionary income. They prioritize financial responsibility while embracing the concept of spare disposable income, which they often allocate toward enhancing their living spaces. This target audience is known for their organization, valuing order and efficiency in both their personal and domestic lives. They seek to create harmonious living environments characterized by simplicity and functionality. As such, they are drawn to minimalist aesthetics and prefer decor that is clean, uncluttered, and imbued with a sense of tranquillity. SKANDINAVISK recognizes and caters to the preferences of this demographic, offering products and designs that align with their lifestyle choices and aesthetic sensibilities.

SOLUTION

CONCLUSION
The SKANDINAVISK eCatalogue delivers more than just a digital product showcase,
it creates an experience that reflects the calm, considered lifestyle at the heart of Scandinavian design. Every visual and interactive element was intentionally chosen to support clarity, usability, and aesthetic harmony.
By combining a minimalist grid system, thoughtful typography, and intuitive interactions, the final design speaks directly to the values of its target audience. It invites users to explore at their own pace, with simplicity and elegance guiding every turn of the page.
